This blog has been a long time coming, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about what you can expect to find here.

I’m Lindsey, and I’m a single 40-something who’s the doting mom of a 14 year-old JRT mix named Jillie. She’s my best friend, and I swear I could write a book of everything she’s taught me. I’ll share some of those things with you, as well info and things I’ve learned about caring for senior dogs and dogs with chronic health conditions. If you’re a caregiver for a pet – I see you!

I bought my first house when I was about 24 years old and have navigated getting a mortgage, buying and selling a home, and home maintenance and decorating – all by myself. If you’re interested in decorating tips, home ideas, and learning from the mistakes I’ve made along the way, you’re in the right place.

One of my favorite ways to recharge is to travel. I love exploring new places, not only because I enjoy seeing the sights, but because I love seeing how other people live. I’ve grown so much as a person because of traveling. I’ve helped friends and family plan trips and have even created an ebook of tips, travel info, and packing checklists for an upcoming trip my parents have planned.
